while the cat is away the mice ve fun

so its roughly been about a week since khikhi has been gone to mumbai n keki n i ve been managin here..its surprisingly been a beautiful week. keki sensed n missed khikhi initially quite a bit..ran towards the door at the remotest of sound, kept lookin towards the door...slowly he adapted. initially it was quite difficult as he was excessively cranky and clingy, so i used to take him out on long walks to the mall, library and park, tried to maintain a fixed schedule for meals, sleep and play. i can see its paid dividends as keku has fallen in a pattern. now vr able tofind more time to sit and play together, read books, listen to music, draw and dance together. keki is one fast learner. he imitates the brushin technique:) he has his own brush but wants to use the adult brush. he puts his blocks back in the cart and not jus leaves scattered around all over the room, infact he hunts them down from below the sofa or table n places them correctly. he knows how i wear my hairband n likes to do the same. this lil copycat even knows how i drape the stole around my neck n tries to imitate (snaps r proof:) really this is such wonderful time.
he knows when v get mad at him for being naughty n immediately comes for a hug..its such a wonderful feeling..u can feel urself jus melt away.
keki v'll always hug n make up..remember this even when ur a teenager..

khikhi goes to india

so today khikhi has left for mumbai as bbay ma has been keepin ill. he ll b gone for long ..10 days!! keepin my fingers crossed, hoping these days arent as miserable as im expectin them to be for both keku s and my sake and more importantly hopin tht ma feels gud n fit wid her boys around n lots of activity. actually papa too must ve been thru utter misery wid all the travellin, office work, dadi's operation followed by mami's decline in health n hospitalisation.
earlier this week, khikhi and papa bought a huge piece of land in kharghar (on the outskirts of mumbai)..within 2 days of the deal bein finalised, the land rate doubled! it was such gud omen.. now thr is news of an airport bein built, which will further boost the value.. so not alls bad.
comin back to khikhi, ive been feelin sick in my stomack these past few days, espcially as his departure date grew closer. didnt imagine after a month of seperation just a few months ago, ll ve to endure another one, even if its for 10 days.
keku: he has been behavin really well of late. he jus loves music, jus a mere sound from tv, radio or even his toys, he jus likes to get up n start groovin:)
he s becomin quite independent as well...wants to eat on his own, open the lids of his bowl, open the slidin shutter, climb stairs, walk widout holdin hands.
yest, we went to applebee's...thr was this lil mexican girl sittin beside him n this lil flirt, held her hand, even as her parents and we both looked on!
same day, i took keku out for an eve walk n thr this cute girl was all dressed and being led by her mum to some party...n this lil devil starts to follow her all the way to the stairs leadin to the parking lot. i had to drag him back. he s such a crowd pleaser, whenever v take him out, he manages to get attention from people sitting nearby by smilin at them or playin peakaboo, they like to entertain keku too... while khikhi n i jus look on wid a big smile in our hearts:)
sometimes keku covers up wid face out of embarrasment, when others seem to smother him wid attention. he looks so cute doin tht.
