Our little ruhaan went for his second trip to Inida on sept 14th. he went along with Ritchi and that meant I was alone here to spend another Diwali in USA without my loving family. This happened last year as well. This time my flight to india was on nov 2nd and so I was without ritchi and keki for litle over a month. This trip to india was most special because my bro Mishoo was getting married to lovely Neha. Time has really flown by.
I kept hearing about Ruhaan's deeds in india. He is very fond of pens right from the time when he was 4 months old. Ritchi kept sharing pictures from india and i noted keku holding pen in most of the pictures. kekuwas having a blast in india - be it interacting with the kids, playing in the park, relishing indian dishes, traveling indian roads and meeting different people...
I reached mumbai on nov 4th and ritchi, mishoo, keku and papa came to pick me up. I covered my face with my sweater and tried to see if keku recognizes my voice. am not sure if he did but when he saw my face he jumped to my lap and was happy. When we reached home if was 3 in the morning. keku remembered the "merry go round" game we use to play back in india. he still remembered it after 2 months of the gap. he did not waste a minute when we reached home and he made me run around and played. i was very hungry but keku did not let me sit for a second. i was astonished with his energy and enthusiam.
I learnt abou keku's new fasicnation. Bathing Mug, bucketand pens. He will grab all the pens in house, put them in the bucket along with the mug and drag it around the house. infact wehn keku came to bombay, he got to his act right a way. he dragged the bucket out of bathroom along with the mug and dragged it on top of papa-mumma's bed. papa entered the room and was astonished. Ritchi was telling that he had a confused expression and he was trying to figure why keku will do what he did - sitting in middle of the bed with bathroom bucket and mug filled with all the pens :)... i noted when ever keku gets a chance he will get into the bathroom and get his stuff.
keku is very friendly with the people. he say "hi" and "bye". but how can keku do something which is ordinary. he refers to 'bye' as 'tai'. this word he got on his own. he probably observed us saying "Tata" and "Bye"..he combined both:) .... so now when he see a good looking girl he says "hi" or else he say "tai"...he also got the word "bhaiya" ... he got this word in delhi where delhi-ma use to refer to servent by this word. So now whenever kekuji see any person with similar dress and looks, he referes to him as Bhaiya. A korean person was tagged as bhaiya by keku and he must have no idea what in the world he did to deserve this title :) ...
keku got this habbit of slapping others. when he is upset with somebody, he will call the person, extend his arms so he can be held up and when he is in close range with th person;s face he will stick a tight slap. next moment as if the job is done, he will push and try to get down. i was the only one who was spared from this ordeal, until one day when i did not oblige to hand him a bucket and mug he requested to me.
Ruhaan singh did so many unique things duing india trip and there are so many incidents...I will be putting these in seperate blogs
